The Bad Pitch Blog was launched one year ago.To be honest, I never thought it would become an ongoing project. Then it became more popular than my first blog. Then the bad pitches started coming in and the posts kept getting the kind of feedback that can fuel a fleet of blogs.
So thank you for, er, giving us gas?
After one year, the pitches still suck. But we've been true to our mission to entertain and educate as we out the people that give the public relations profession a bad name. And I know that's been helpful to others.
So we're going to celebrate this blog's birthday. Stay tuned for a contest we're creating to crown the baddest pitch of 2006. It'll be fun.

Happy birthday, the blog has been a lot of fun.
Thanks Kami! We're looking forward to another year of fun.
Kevin awesome job -- we'll always treasure our Glinda and we'll always worry about showing up here for the other reason.
Sigh -- as an editor, I can tell you that the pitches still suck. But sometimes they suck because the PR people are simply lazy, and don't do their homework, as I blogged about today regarding Bacon's MediaMap. Sigh!!
