What's with all the Back to School Buzz?

The industry is talking (and tweeting) about our Night School (during the day) teleseminar next week.

Even HARO head honcho Peter Shankman noted his “favorite blog” is having a call “worth checking out.” Needless to say we appreciate everyone’s kind words.

Part of the reason for this is, well, we pitched them on it. This IS a media relations blog, right? But we wanted to update you on the steak of this event and the above sizzle to prove we're not just all Anchorman over ourselves.

We've divided the call into three acts.

Act I - The Horror: After doing this for over three years, we've received thousands of pitches. We'll have fun pointing out the best of the worst. But more importantly, we'll analyze the trends we see in bad pitching and how they can be easily avoided.

Act 2 - The Secrets (and lies): This is where we demystify media relations in the realm of social media and how you can navigate this minefield successfully.

Act 3 - The Art & Science of Success: A holistic review of the media relations process and specifics around improving your efforts now and over the long term.

But in the famous words of Billy Mays, "Hi, Billy Mays here..." Uh, scratch that. We meant something more informative like... "But wait, there's more!"

Scholarships. We'll be notifying the rest of the scholarship winners on Monday.
"Full Frontal PR." Each registration gets a copy of Richard's classic e-book.
access to "The Bad Pitch Blog Library." These documents will also help improve your pitches. From excerpts of our recent presentations from around the nation to some of our tip sheets and favorite handouts, you'll find several items here of interest.

Can you hear me now? If you want to attend but can't sit in on the call, no worries! We will have an mp3 of the call for you so you do not miss out on the action. Put it on your iPod...all the cool kids are doing it.

It's a lot to pack into one hour for only $49.00. But we're excited and hope you'll join us.

Thanks for taking the time to create the teleseminar. The topics look really interesting.

I'm crossing my fingers that I'll get some good scholarship news on Monday.
